Float Coat

Soon after the roof tiling had been completed, the tradesmen to do the initial render on the internal walls (float coat) arrived and worked their magic. It has become really exciting now, not that it was boring before, with the new girl really taking shape. I can't wait for the finishing touches - then it's time for painting, flooring, finishing the electrics (we are gettting our own sparky to install downlights) and window treatments.

Looking through the al fresco area into the dining room kitchen to be. Bet you can't guess this is my favourite spot! :)

From the entry looking past the kitchen / dining / family rooms. The double doors lead to my our home theatre. The big gap to the right of the photo is a double sliding doors to the alfresco.

The entire house is looking bigger and bigger, which is good because you need a lot of room for two adults and a cat! :)

(I Am) Spoilt!

We went shopping yesterday, nothing we really wanted to buy, just to get out of the house mainly.

Didn't stop us, okay me actually, from bringing home one of these:

It's an Onkyo TX-SR876 7.1 AV Receiver for the Home Theatre (I was about to type 'my Home Theatre' but I think Rayleen has plans for the man-cave)

And also a set of these:
Wharfedale 5.1 speaker system. They look really stylish and from the audition (they were hooked up to another Onkyo 876 at the showroom) they sound just as good as they look.

On the downside - I'm not allowed to set it all up until we move into the new home, so for now they are all sitting in their respective boxes on the lounge room floor.

I will look around and see if I can find the specs for the more technical minded.
